It is best to check when the engine is cold or 10 minutes after turning off the engine.
- The reason is for all the oil to flow back to the oil pan for an accurate reading.
Clean the dip stick with the paper towel or cloth.
- Insert the dip stick back into the barrel and pull it out again to read the oil level.
It should be at the full level or in between the full level and the low level.
If it reads below the low level, get about 1 litre of oil, fill up and check again.
